Experience the Suriano Continuum, an immersive journey through genre-defying music, taking jazz, funk, soul, rock, and reggae to a new level. Curated by guitarist Claudio Suriano, it features Fredrik Kronkvist on alto sax, Mark Hurrell on tenor sax, and Haim Peskoff on drums

Guitarist and composer Claudio Suriano debuts this band in a unique performance at Råhuset, celebrating his latest release Earth Calling and featuring new songs written for the occasion.

Claudio’s musical direction is both exciting and grounded. Using his hybrid guitar to play bass and guitar simultaneously, he creates a dynamic foundation for explorative improvisations. The band’s cohesive interplay results in a performance that is groovy, lyrical, and expressive, allowing each musician to showcase their unique musical personality.

“This concert gives us the chance not only to present our latest works live, but also to keep challenging ourselves to find new perspectives and approaches to making music live, while still grounding everything in a shared artistic vision. It’s an ongoing process of exploration.”

Accompanying Claudio Suriano on alto sax is Fredrik Kronkvist, an award-winning saxophonist with more than 25 albums as a leader. On tenor sax is the soulful Mark Hurrell, one of Europe’s finest saxophonists. The talented drummer Haim Peskoff adds to the rhythm, articulating compelling grooves with a refined and effortless touch.

Together, these four musicians promise a performance that explores different grooves, expands on melodies, and allows each artist to shine individually.
